Home Detention

PROGRAM GOALS

1. To monitor youth/parents whose movement in the community has been restricted.
2. To supplement supervision of youth on probation.
3. Reduce number of high-risk youth in Detention.
4. Provide secure transport for high-risk youth.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

Electronic surveillance; face-to-face contacts; school contacts; residence contacts; telephone contacts; employment checks; and secure transports.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

AGEYouth 12 to 18 years old
GENDER: Male and Female youth
POPULATION SERVED: Pre-adjudicated and supervised youth

REFERRAL SOURCE: Judicial order; Family Court Personnel

PARENTS: 

To contribute to successful program involvement, it is the responsibility of the parent to:

Authorize removal of telephone features for electronic monitoring; cooperate with Home Detention staff; be financially responsible for lost and/or broken equipment and supplies.
