Mandatory Electronic Case Filing Date Established

The Circuit Court for Jackson County, Missouri, has entered into a Missouri eFiling Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of the State Court Administrator. As of March 4, 2013, civil and domestic cases are now filed and accepted electronically exclusively through the Missouri Electronic Filing System.
The Court is now moving forward with implementation of electronic filing with remaining case types including criminal, probate and juvenile (Family Court). The remaining implementation schedule is as follows:

In order to file any new case or any pleading in an existing case as the attorney for a party, a licensed attorney in the State of Missouri will have to register for a user account and subscribe to the Missouri Court eFiling System. There is currenly no charge for registering.
Currently judges and commissioners are using paperless files for their civil and domestic dockets. Many documents in probate and criminal cases have also been scanned and attached to docket entries. An attorney who registers for a user account can now access remotely and electronically these scanned documents.
THE REGISTRATION AND SUBSCRIPTION WILL PROVIDE ACCESS THROUGH SECURE CASE.NET TO PUBLIC CASE FILE DOCUMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN SCANNED.

Under the Logon Box, click on My Account.

You will be taken to a page titled Log in to your Missouri Judiciary Account. Click on the wording Create an account.

Complete the registration process using your Mobar PIN from your Mobar card.
SUBSCRIBE TO THE MISSOURI COURTS eFILING SYSTEM
- After receiving the confirmation email from mocourts.registration, wait 5 minutes and then log into the Missouri Courts eFiling System using the user id and password from the account you created.
- Complete the two subscription screens, Subscribe to eFiling and Accept the Missouri Electronic Filing User Agreement.
- When you see the eFiling Menu, your registration and subscription are complete.
DOCUMENTS IN SECURE CASE.NET
When you log into Secure Case.net, those items appearing in Docket Entries on a selected case that are shown in blue and underlined are electronic documents which may be viewed by clicking on the item. If the item is sealed or otherwise secured, there will be a lock icon beside the item, and the item cannot be viewed over the Internet.
