The Purchasing Department provides centralized procurement of all required supplies, materials, equipment and professional or general services for the 16^th Judicial Circuit Court.  The Purchasing staff employs 3 purchasing agents who direct the procurement of all major renovation projects, professional services, equipment and other commodities as needed.  The buyers are responsible for establishing contracts to provide immediate and uninterrupted source of supplies for the court and are active participants in cooperative purchasing with other entities and the State of Missouri in an effort to obtain volume pricing and eliminate duplication of effort on common purchases.  Purchasing also employs an Events Specialist who plans, coordinates and purchases meals for jurors, retirements and other special events; as well as the purchasing of miscellaneous small items and services.  The purchasing staff is a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and the Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing (MACPP).
