What Could Happen

The day of court, you will need to wait until the judge is ready to see you. You will have to take an oath (promise) that you will tell the truth. Anytime someone asks a question you don't understand tell the Judge that you don't understand the question.  If you don't know the answer to a question, it's OK to say that.  Sometimes you may not remember something that you are asked about and its OK to say that you don't remember. After you answer everyone's questions you can go home.

It may not be necessary for you to tell the court what you know. The Attorney for the Juvenile Officer or the Victim/Witness Advocate will let you know as soon as they know.
