POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

POSITION PURPOSE: To utilize analysis and design techniques to solve problems using information technology to include designing, developing, and implementing timely and accurate reports to assist in management decisions for the Family Court.

MAJOR TASK STATEMENTS AND REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES (Percentage of Time):

60% Design, develop, and modify reports, data, and/or databases, per user specifications.

15% Develop processes, procedures, and formats for effective data analysis and reporting. 15% Confer with users to determine needs and define work problems utilizing data analysis. · Research topics applicable to reporting and information requests as assigned.

10% Develop and maintain intranet/internet sites for Family Court. SUPERVISION OF: Temporary staff.
SUPERVISION BY (Include level of Supervision): Family Court Management Analyst provides general supervision.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY:
INTERNAL: Deputy Court Administrator/Judiciary and Court Administration; All levels of Family Court staff; Provide service, problem resolution, and training for Access Database and Cognos Reports.
EXTERNAL: None

PRIMARY EQUIPMENT, TOOLS & MATERIALS USED: Computer, telephone, copier/printer/scanner/fax, Cognos Report Net writer, procedural and technical support manuals and guides, diagrams/layouts, and computer generated reports.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in educational or social sciences, economics, data analytics, statistics, information technology, or related field. Master’s degree in educational or social sciences, economics, data analytics, statistics, information technology, or related field ,or certification in data analytics is preferred, but not required.

EXPERIENCE:Two years’ experience manipulating data contained in computer information systems/databases and in the use of specialized report development software; experience may be acquired from educational practice or work experience in an information services or business environment. Experience must also include some website design.

Education, experience, or a combination thereof must demonstrate ability to manipulate data contained in computer information systems/databases.
