POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

To maintain overall cleanliness and grooming of all Family Court facilities and grounds.

MAJOR TASK STATEMENTS AND REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES (Percentage of Time):
60% - Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the facilities.

15% - Maintain floors. 10% - Maintain facility grounds. 15% - Move furniture/equipment, miscellaneous pick-up and deliveries, and assist as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work environment and facilities required to work in as well as physical demands and/or mental requirements. (This is not an inclusive list; other tasks/duties may be assigned.)

JOB ENVIRONMENT: STANDING/WALKING:- 80% of time - All duties.

SITTING - 10% of time – occasional when driving lawn tractor or when completing logs.

DRIVING/TRAVEL - 10% of time – when driving to other facilities; pick up and deliver goods and supplies.

LIFTING/CARRYING - 100 lbs. – moving furniture and equipment and transporting items to other locations.

PUSHING/PULLING – 50-60 lbs. – mowing lawn, pushing wheelbarrow; moving furniture and equipment.

VISION – all duties; reading instructions on chemical cleaners, vacuuming, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing and verifying that it is properly done.

HEARING – Must be adequate for normal conversation with co-workers, supervisor, youth both in person and over telephone or hand held radio..

SPEECH – Must be able to speak and understand English clearly to provide detailed information by telephone, hand held radio, and in person.

CLIMBING/BALANCING – Required when climbing ladders (up to 20’) loading items onto carts or into vehicles.

STOOPING/KNEELING/CROUCHING/CRAWLING – Required on most tasks when retrieving supplies, stripping or scrubbing floors; cleaning floors, furniture, facilities; caring for grounds.

REACHING/HANDLING – Required on most tasks.
