POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:


To provide computer system solutions to users through troubleshooting, conducting need analysis, recommendation/development and implementation of application/system designs.

55% Propose and implement new data processing solutions.


30% Maintain existing applications

10% Review and clarify computer system users requirements.

5% Code new ad enhanced programs and perform related duties.

PRINCIPAL CHALLENGES

Learning curve on new systems/applications; ever changing technology; short time frame for most projects; data extraction from mainframe can be difficult.

ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY

Accountable for own work; takes the lead and completes assigned projects.

SUPERVISORY

Serve in a lead capacity for lower level programming staff, providing direction and guidance. Also, provides general supervision during staff meetings and after projects.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY

Provides programming and operation assistance to all court staff as well as Judiciary and Attorneys.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate Degree level course work or trade school education in computer science or related area, with an emphasis in programming.

Primary skills - SQL, ASP.NET VB & C#, Cognos, Jasper (Java based), Windows, MS Access, and SQL Server
Other skills - Oracle, Report Builder, Classic ASP, Cool Gen, Crystal Reports

Four years directly related work experience inclusive of two years at a Programmer Analyst II level, with experience in Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
