Position Title:Temporary Clerical Positions

Department/section: Circuit Court - various records departments

Work Location: located in downtown Kansas City, MO, Independence MO or midtown Kansas City Mo, Free parking is provided for all locations

Work Schedule: offices are open 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday - work hours are limited to 25 hours maximum hours per week; exact schedule will be determined by supervisor

Funded by State/County: State Paid Position and County Paid Position

Pay Frequency: Semi-monthly - State Funded ; Bi-weekly County-funded

Hourly Pay Rate $10.00-Case Processing Backlog; may involve identification and review of financial transactions on cases and prepare receipts.

Assignment Starts: Positions are available immediately

Anticipated Length of Assignment: Temporary assignments may very in length from a few weeks to longer periods. All temporary positions are dependent upon need, availability of funds and individual performance. Positions are available until filled and the number will vary. Temporary positions are utilized for special projects, position vacancies and employee leaves of absence. Those positions which are funded by state special projects assistance are scheduled to exhaust 10-30-17 and temporary employees may not work more than 1,000 hours within 12-month period.

Duties Involve: Positions generally involve case processing, including the review of documents and information contained in database.

Basic Skills needed High school graduate or recognized equivalent. Specific requirements may vary, but clerical-type positions generally require a typing ability and/or good alpha/numeric data entry skills and a minimum of two years clerical experience. Computer knowledge essential. must submit to and pass criminal background check as prescribed by Courts. Employees in his position are subject to reasonable suspicion testing for illegal drug use. (Note that skill requirements for full-time/regular positions may differ and applicants must meet those specific requirements when applying for those positions.)
