POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

MAJOR TASK STATEMENTS & REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES (Percentage of Time):

25% Perform physicals, standard testing, and triage medical complaints.


25% Administer and document medication distribution.
25% Coordinate medical services with physicians, parents, and Case Management Officers.
15% Schedule and prepare for medical clinics with physicians.
· Schedule medical appointments and clinics, and assist physician during treatment of examination.

10% Provide training.
SUPERVISION OF: None.
SUPERVISION BY (Include level of Supervision): Facility Manager, or Assistant Facility Manager provides general supervision.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY:
INTERNAL: Provide medical certification, first aid, CPR, and standard precautions/blood borne pathogens training to staff. Monitor for re-certification training.
EXTERNAL: Provide medical services to youth. Responds to requests for a range of services/products.

PRIMARY EQUIPMENT, TOOLS & MATERIALS USED: Computer, keyboard & printer, copy machine, telephone, intercom system, mobile radios, standard office equipment, physical restraint devices (handcuffs/shackles), and keys.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Minimum of a two year degree from a State board approved school necessary to obtain license as stated under special requirements.

EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in a clinical setting, such as assisting a physician, ER, Orthopedics, or Pediatrics.
