POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

POSITION PURPOSE: To provide secretarial support to an assigned unit.

MAJOR TASK STATEMENTS & REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES (Percentage of Time):

65% Provide administrative secretarial support.

20% Provide customer service. 15% Perform data entry and generate reports. SUPERVISION OF: None

SUPERVISION BY (Include level of Supervision): Director or Supervisor of the unit to which the employee is assigned. Supervisor provides direct supervision; work direction and assignments may be provided by a lead worker.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY:
INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
EXTERNAL: General public, youth and parents, social service agency personnel. Responds to a wide variety of requests for services or products.

PRIMARY EQUIPMENT, TOOLS & MATERIALS USED: Computer, copier/printer/scanner/fax, telephone, Dictaphone, keys, various reports and forms, computer generated or handwritten, program manuals.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year related secretarial and/or clerical experience.
