POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

To develop, coordinate and provide the training program for Family Court Services.

MAJOR TASK STATEMENTS

EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISION OF: Assignment of work to secretary

SUPERVISION BY: Training Department Program Manager

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY: Internal: Trains all levels of staff, in groups and one-on-one on a variety of topics. Conducts new employee orientation. Research curriculum to remain up-to-date on developments within the industry. Participates in assessing employees to monitor work performance with regard to execution of concepts delivered in training and to evaluate training needs. External: Trains staff from other jurisdictions as required. Conducts visitor tours of of Court and Court facilities. Acts a broker to procure and coordinate training from local, regional and national experts both in-person on via the internet.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Some office environment; regular travel to facilities, conferences, and seminars; transport, lift and carry training material and equipment; standing 75% of time while conducting training sessions (30% of job).

PRIMARY EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS USED: Computer, keyboard and printer; telephone; audio-visual equipment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The following minimum requirements can also be achieved through any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral or Social Science, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Education, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Two years in business administration, communication, behavioral or social science work OR two years in activities related to training and/or staff development. Experience with Adobe Presenter and/or Adobe Captivate preferred.
