POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:


POSITION PURPOSE: To design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze and maintain LAN/MAN/WAN equipment and related services, performing complex technical duties involved with client/server and network infrastructure hardware and software.

45% Manage overall network for optimal performance.

35% Monitor network hardware and traffic; identify and correct system failures and outages; deploy system changes and enhancements. 20% Assist in defining plans for future automation needs and participate in budget process: prepare reports and perform related duties.
SUPERVISION OF: None.

SUPERVISION BY (Include level of Supervision): Minimal supervision provided by Assistant Director, Court Information Technology. Work monitored by results of assignments and projects, deadlines met, and meetings.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY: PRIMARY EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS USED: Computer and peripheral equipment, servers and storage devices; telephone including use of voice mail; copier/printer/scanner/fax; technical manuals and guides, both paper and electronic; computer-generated and handwritten diagrams, forms, and reports.
