Salary:	County Paid Position - Non-exempt Grade C 1 - $8.40 Hourly

Salary Range For Internal/Rehire Applicants: $8.40 - $11.77 Hourly

POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:

To maintain kitchen work area, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition and to deliver meals and foodstuffs.
Deliver meals, groceries and other items by loading and unloading vehicle, traveling to designated locations, and transporting foodstuffs into facility, by means of hand or hand truck.
Sweep, mop, strip and wax floors
Clean and/or wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, freezers, ovens and other areas or objects
Wash and dry pots, pans, trays, utensils by hand
Load, unload and operate dishwasher
Segregate and remove trash/garbage, and place in designated containers
Assist in food preparation and meal service
Fill grocery orders by selecting designated items and quantity ordered from shelves and box for transport
Store canned, boxed, refrigerated or frozen foods and other items on shelves, floor or in bins according to identifying information and rotate according to delivery date
Receive in and examine delivered food items for unacceptable goods
Assist in unloading of trucks
Complete kitchen logs and perform related work as required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The following minimum requirements can also be achieved through any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
No prior work experience required.
Ability to operate or learn to operate institutional kitchen equipment.
Ability to load and lift up to 100 pounds.
Ability to push, pull or carry 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to use industrial cleaners in a safe and prudent manner.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.
Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
If driving non-court vehicle, must have current auto liability insurance and properly licensed vehicle.
Must be able to provide proof of the above.
