Biography

Judge Peggy Stevens McGraw was appointed as Circuit Judge in January 2001 by Gov. Roger Wilson. Judge McGraw had served as an Associate Circuit Judge in Jackson County from 1995 – 2001. She served as the Clerk of the Missouri Court of Appeals - Western District from April 1979 – 1995. Prior to her appointment as Clerk, she served as law clerk to Judge Jack P. Pritchard and as docket and research attorney for the Court of Appeals. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a past president of the Association of Women Lawyers of Kansas City and a past president of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks.
