Biography

Commissioner Geoffrey Allen was appointed in 1993 by the judges of the 16th Judicial Circuit in Jackson County to hear cases involving juveniles. Commissioner Allen received a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977 and a B.A. degree in Classical Studies in 1973. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During his career, he has worked for Legal Aid of Western Missouri and for the Public Defender's Office. He joined the Juvenile Division of the Circuit Court in 1986 where he prosecuted cases.
