Would you like to give your students a firsthand view of the judicial process? The Jackson County Circuit Court is happy to arrange a tour for you and your class. We’ll show you the process that jurors go through to be qualified to serve, give you a tour of the building and even give your students a chance to sit on court proceedings. We can also arrange for a judge to speak to your students while they are here.
We can also bring the courts to you. Jackson County Circuit Court arranges for judges to come speak at schools, community groups, civics clubs and other organizations. We can talk about the court system in general, or arrange to talk about a topic of your choice.
We are also happy to provide you with printed materials about our court, Missouri Courts in general or the judicial branch as a whole to give your students an idea of how the courts system works in conjunction with the other two branches of government. Some of our printed materials may be accessed on the handouts portion of our website (link to page)
For more information about our court, or to arrange for tours or presentations, contact Mary Jacobi, Public Information Officer for Jackson County Circuit Court, at 816-881-3552 or email Mary.Jacobi@courts.mo.gov. |
