Congratulations to Associate Circuit Judge Sarah A. Castle who was appointed today by Governor Mike Parson as Circuit Judge of Division 1.  Judge Castle replaces Judge Sandra Midkiff who retired in August 2020.

The Jackson County Family Court Commissioner Selection Committee has announced the panel of three nominees for the position of Family Court Commissioner of Division 43. They are: Lisa M. Dube, Robert Emerson James Gordon and Rebecca Lynn Lambert.

The Jackson County Family Court Commissioner Selection Committee met on September 4, 2020 and interviewed all seven candidates for the position of Family Court Commissioner of Division 43.  The Committee has announced that the following panel of three nominees will be voted upon by the judges at their next Court en banc meeting on September 11, 2020.

            The nominees are:

            Lisa M. Dube

            Robert Emerson James Gordon

            Rebecca Lynn Lambert

The Selection Committee was comprised of Presiding Judge David Byrn, Judge J. Dale Youngs, Judge Jalilah Otto, Judge Jennifer M. Phillips, Judge Mary F. Weir, Judge Susan E. Long and Commissioner Sherrill L. Rosen.

Missouri law requires Family Court Commissioners to possess the same qualifications as a circuit judge.  Commissioners are appointed to a four year term.

            The new commissioner will fill the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of Commissioner David P. Kimminau at the end of September. 

The Sixteenth Circuit Judicial Commission met on August 26, 2020 and selected a panel of three nominees for the circuit judge vacancy in Division 1.
